For several years, a team of CELI consultants has been providing specialized support for the realization of commercial multilingual text-to-speech systems, culminating in concrete results and a satisfied client.

Text-to-speech is a context in which experience and expertise in language processing find their natural application, contributing to the realization of high grade vocal synthesis systems. In order to produce high quality synthesized speech from written text, one must employ linguistic analysis technologies that allow the extraction of the information required to produce correct word pronunciation with a natural intonation. Each language requires a detailed linguistic/phonetic case study, and conseguently, specialized versions of linguistic component software.

CELI consultants have contributed to the design and implementation of software modules and linguistic resources that have been integrated into commercial voice synthesis products for various languages; the final products have been ranked among the best solutions currently available on the market.
